On any week you will find over 25 friendly and dedicated people volunteering at the Neighbourhood Centre. The jobs they undertake include; reception, administration, gardening, basic maintenance, creche work, bookkeeping, desktop publishing and data entry to name a few. The management committee members of the Centre are also volunteers and work diligently to ensure the services, activities and programs are meeting the varied needs of you, our community. They are integral in managing the day-to-day effectiveness; the applying for and acquitting of funds, the marketing and promotion of activities, the fundraising opportunities and much more.
There are many opportunities for volunteers, you can learn a new skill, meet new friends, share your expertise with others and know that you are making a difference in our community.
Without the constant support of these devoted people this Centre would simply not function. Many of our committed staff do more than one 'shift' per week and will help out at special events held through out the year both at the Centre and offsite.
